Smile Education is recruiting for an Unqualified Teacher to support a secondary school in the Sandwell area. This is a full-time role starting in September for at least the first term, with a strong potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the personal development of pupils.
- Take responsibility for the development and delivery of the curriculum.
- Marking and Planning will be required
- Maintain accurate records and liasies with SLT team.
- Track student progress.
- Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and student progress reports.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers.
Person Specification Essential Qualifications & Skills- Minimum Grade C (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English.
- A 2:1 degree desirable
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Recent experience of teaching student across Secondary with SEND.
Experience The successful candidate will have:
- At least one year of experience in a teaching environment with SEND.
- Experience leading and managing a class.
- Confidence in teaching or leading lessons independently.
- Proven ability to plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to individual needs.
- Experience in setting appropriate learning objectives.
- Ability to monitor and record academic development.
- Experience marking work against the national curriculum standards.
