Location: Brecon.

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm

Start Date:  8^th January 2024

Pay: £90-£100 per day

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an unqualified teacher to work in a secondary school in Brecon. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for work in education. The pupils ages are between 11-16.

Unqualified Teachers are also known as Cover Supervisors. As a Cover Supervisor you will oversee a classroom in place of an absent teacher.  

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the education sector or pursue a career in teaching.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and follow the lesson plans provided.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Ensure student behaviour is in line with school policies.
• Support students in their learning, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians when required.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS cleared & on the update service. (Or willing to apply)
• Be able to provide 2 of your most recent references.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Registered to Education Workforce Council EWC. (Or willing to apply)
• Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
