This rewarding role involves providing crucial one-on-one support to a year 8 student with autism. The student requires assistance in their academic pursuits and emotional growth. Your role as a compassionate and patient Teaching Assistant will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition back to full-time education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering tailored support and encouragement to the student throughout the school day.
  • Nurturing the student's emotional well-being and providing a safe space for their growth.
  • Managing potential disruptive situations with composure and de-escalating tensions when necessary.
  • Collaborating with the teaching staff to ensure the student's needs are met effectively.

The Ideal Trainee Teaching Assistant:

  • Full-time availability with a background in sports, care, or education.
  • Have a desire to broaden their skills with Free training courses
  • Be receptive to feedback
  • Willingness to work in the NP18 Area, supporting the local community.
  • Confidence in handling pressure with grace and adaptability.

Qualifications and Training:

  • Possession of an enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed).
  • Registration with the education workforce council (assistance provided if needed).
  • Minimum core GCSE qualifications.
  • Safeguarding training (assistance provided if needed).

While prior experience with Special Educational Needs is preferred, we are excited to provide training and support to enthusiastic candidates who exhibit the essential qualities of patience and understanding.
