Our behavioral school in Bolton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to provide additional support to our students. This would be a September 2024 start. As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every young person feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioral challenges, helping them to develop positive coping strategies and social skills.
  2. Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and rapport to support their emotional well-being and academic progress.
  3. Collaborate closely with teachers and external agencies to implement behavior management strategies and support plans tailored to individual student needs.
  4. Facilitate engaging and interactive activities designed to promote personal development, resilience, and self-esteem.
  5. Act as a positive role model for students, demonstrating empathy, respect, and integrity in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people in a behavioral school or similar setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Resilience, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting students through challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being and success.
