Full-Time Learning Support Assistants needed in Woking

Join a dynamic team at a small SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Woking where they are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for the students. 

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work full-time, providing invaluable support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs in various learning environments.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEMH needs or in a similar educational setting is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and well-being of young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, social care, or related fields are advantageous.
  • Full driving license is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
