SEMH Cover Supervisor
Rate: £60-£85 per day

Protocol Education are looking for a Cover Supervisor to work in a Special Education Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), based in Waltham Forest.
A cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.
As a Cover Supervisor, you are effectively taking the place of an absent teacher. You may have to complete the class register, and will often be given set work for the class to complete, you will not be required to necessarily teach' the class, but you will be required to ensure the students complete as much of the set work as possible, and you will be responsible for the behaviour management of the class. At the end of the lesson you will be expected to collect all the work, and leave the classroom as it was found. If you are covering a subject that you have knowledge in, then this is also a great way to get involved and support the students.
Cover supervisor will be needed for a long-term commitment for five days a week. Subjects may include Science or Citizenship. Ideally you would have experience working students with behaviour that challenges. The school are looking for a candidate with great behaviour management and safeguarding experience.

• Passionate Cover supervisors
• KS3/KS4 support experience
• SEN Experience (Essential)
• Citizenship subject experience
