Qualified Teacher - Alternative Provision 

Are you a Qualified Teacher looking for a new challenge? A rewarding carer?

Wanting to make a real difference to the lives of children living with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs?

An opportunity has opened for a Qualified Teacher in a SEMH provision in Salford. The pupils are of secondary age (11-18) and the school operates reduced class size with mixed ability. Many students in this provision display challenging behaviour and have complex SEMH needs.

Your role will be to lead classes in basic curriculum topics and also more specific communication and life skills, placing focus on supporting each individuals needs, building confidence and providing practical skills. The school also offers vocational courses which will equip students with skills to support them through life and employment. Your role as a teacher would be to find dynamic ways to keep students engaged and support their education, as well as adapting lessons to assure that learning is accessible to all.

To apply for this position you must be a Qualified Teacher and be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEMH. Ideally the Teacher will have experience of working within a specialist environment PRU school and experience in challenging behaviour management.
