Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for PE Cover Supervisors and Sports Coaches to work in Secondary Schools and Academies for the New Academic Year from September.

PE Cover Supervisors play an excellent role which is fundamental in Secondary Schools. The role involves delivering pre-set work and managing a class of 20-30 students in the absence of the teacher. You will not be expected to mark, plan or assess. We have a high demand for PE lessons to be covered however there could be some general lessons included in your timetable.

This is a fantastic route for Sports Graduates to get experience in education if you are considering a career in teaching. You will gain experience through flexible working on a supply basis, with access to long-term opportunities that arise. 

You will need to be flexible, have a desire to work with young people, with a calm and authoritative manner. 

To be considered for this position, you will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Have a minimum of 1 month work experience working in charge of groups of children
  • A passion for working with children
  • Ability to communicate confidently
  • Be able to engage with and motivate a broad range of pupils
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Be organised, reliable and trustworthy
  • Have a passion for PE and sports!
