Competitive rates of pay, between £14-£15 per hour.

Teaching Personnel are working with a client school in Poulton to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The school prides itself on its strong inclusion team and strong provision of support for children. The school has a consistent and clear approach to delivering support to challenging behaviours so the right candidate must follow these policies. The Ofsted ‘GOOD’ Primary school is in the FY6 area and easily accessible by public transport.

The post will start in September 2024 and will run to the end of the academic year, with the possibility to be extended for another academic year. 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Being the Key Worker for several pupils displaying Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, liaising with parents/carers, mainstream schools, including Headteachers, Teachers and TA’s and other professional.
  • To deliver a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum to a group of pupils who experience Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties in the Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
  • To identify and deliver suitable academic and behavioural interventions for individual pupils to accelerate progress and achieve targets set.

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience supporting SEN.
  • Level 3 qualification and working towards Level 4.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality support, delivering 1:1 intervention and delivering group work is also favoured.
  • Experience covering planned absences and teaching classes on their own.
