Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for your next opportunity across Walsall and Birmingham?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of secondary schools across the Walsall and Birmingham areas who are looking for reliable, confident and experienced Cover Supervisors to support their schools from October 2026.

If you have strong experience working in secondary schools and are confident managing a classroom across a range of subjects, we'd love to hear from you!

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You will be responsible for delivering pre planned work, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

With opportunities available across Walsall and Birmingham, this role would suit someone who enjoys working in different school environments and building positive relationships with both students and staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
• Delivering pre planned lessons and activities
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting students with their learning
• Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Ensuring students remain focused and engaged
• Following school policies and procedures
• Working closely with teaching staff and the wider school team
• Providing feedback to relevant staff following lessons where required

We are looking for a confident and experienced Cover Supervisor who can quickly settle into a new school environment and take control of a classroom.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or within a secondary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Experience working with KS3 and KS4 students
• The confidence to supervise a range of subjects
• A calm, reliable and professional approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine interest in supporting young people and their education
• Experience working within schools across Walsall and/or Birmingham would be highly beneficial
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one
