Role Overview:
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the English department and helping students develop their literacy skills and appreciation for literature. Your responsibilities will include:
Classroom Support: Assisting English teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, providing one-to-one or small group support to students who may require additional help with reading, writing, or comprehension.
Literacy Intervention: Implementing literacy intervention programs to support students who are struggling with reading or writing, providing targeted support and monitoring progress to ensure improvement over time.
Resource Preparation: Preparing teaching materials, resources, and literature texts for English lessons, ensuring they are aligned with the curriculum objectives and cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
Assessment and Feedback: Assisting in the assessment of students' literacy skills, providing constructive feedback on written work, and supporting teachers in evaluating students' progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Promoting a Love for Literature: Inspiring students to develop a love for literature and language through creative and engaging activities, such as book clubs, poetry recitals, and drama performances.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
