We are currently recruiting confident and experienced Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who enjoy variety and are passionate about supporting students’ learning in a dynamic school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across the full KS3–KS4 curriculum, ensuring students remain engaged, on task, and working in a positive learning atmosphere.

  • Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining high expectations at all times
  • Support learning across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4
  • Adapt learning and your approach to meet the needs of students of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and senior leaders
  • Ensure safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting (secondary school experience strongly preferred)
  • Confidence delivering lessons to students aged 11–16
  • Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
  • Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
  • Adaptable, resilient, and confident in different school environments
  • A strong understanding of inclusive practice and supporting SEN pupils
  • Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or Unqualified Teacher
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field
  • Previous experience working across multiple secondary schools
