Are you confident, organised and passionate about supporting young people in education?

We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience working with young people who is looking to develop their experience within a secondary school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of the usual class teacher. Work will be pre-planned and provided by the school, allowing you to focus on maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes across a range of secondary subjects
• Delivering pre-prepared work and instructions to pupils
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task
• Providing support and guidance where appropriate
• Following the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Reporting back to teaching staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour
• Supporting the wider school team when required
