Are you a confident, reliable and well-organised professional looking for a new opportunity working with young people?
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Shaftesbury and the surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident managing groups of people, communicates well and can establish clear boundaries. Previous classroom experience isn't essential – we're interested in individuals who can bring strong leadership, behaviour management and interpersonal skills into a school environment.
The role could particularly suit people from backgrounds such as the military, police, prison service, security, emergency services, youth work, coaching or other structured environments.
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll support secondary schools by supervising classes when their usual teacher is unavailable.
You'll be responsible for creating a calm and productive classroom environment, ensuring students understand the work provided and maintaining appropriate behaviour and expectations throughout the lesson.
You won't be expected to deliver lessons yourself. Instead, you'll help students stay focused and ensure the work set by the teacher is completed.
