Are you confident, organised and passionate about supporting young people in their education? We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors for a range of secondary schools across Bolton for opportunities starting in September 2026.
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced education professionals, or individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a secondary school setting. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining students' learning by supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring lessons run smoothly.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. You will work across a variety of subjects, providing a positive and productive learning environment while supporting the wider school community.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence managing groups of young people, and the ability to establish positive relationships with students and staff. Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential. A proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments are key to succeeding in this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
