As a Cover Supervisor, you'll lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintaining a positive learning environment throughout the day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising classes across a range of subjects
  • Delivering pre-planned work set by teaching staff
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Keeping students focused and on task
  • Following school policies and expectations
  • Building positive relationships with students and staff
  • Previous experience working with young people or leading groups
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence managing behaviour and maintaining classroom expectations
  • A calm, professional and adaptable approach
  • School experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply
