We are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our team in the field of Education and Training. This is a temporary position, with the expectation of working full-time hours.

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and follow the provided curriculum
  • Manage student behaviour and maintain discipline
  • Provide support to students with their learning and progress
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and reporting on student performance
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure continuity of education
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare of students
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • Safeguarding Level 2 certification
  • Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable
  • Strong management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Resilient and able to handle challenging situations
  • Confident in managing classroom dynamics
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience
  • First Aid certification

The Cover Supervisor will primarily work within a school setting, providing support in various classrooms. The role may involve standing for long periods and requires the ability to adapt to different teaching environments. The position is temporary and the working hours will be full-time, following the school schedule.

The salary for this role ranges from £85 to £105 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
