Teaching Personnel are working closely with Secondary Schools across Southampton who are looking to expand their pool of Cover Supervisors for flexible, ad-hoc cover requirements.

We are currently seeking dynamic individuals to join our team of Cover Supervisors for secondary schools on an ad-hoc basis across Southampton.

Position: Secondary School Cover Supervisor (Ad-Hoc)

Location: Various secondary schools in and Romsey

Contract Type: Flexible, Ad-Hoc

Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for supervising students during short-term teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and managing the behaviour of students in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and activities across various subjects.
  • Managing the classroom environment to promote a positive and safe learning atmosphere.
  • Responding to any questions or concerns from students and escalating issues as needed.
  • Completing any administrative tasks or duties as required by the school.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field preferred (not mandatory).
  • Experience working with secondary school-aged students is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
