An exciting opportunity for an individual to join a secondary school and gain experience prior to completing a teacher training programme.

A Cover Supervisor role is perfect for individuals whose circumstances can change on a daily basis and therefore, require flexible work. This position is also perfect for candidates who are looking for flexible work alongside another role or current course, or if you would like to gain experience prior to completing a teacher training course.

Job role:

  • Part-time and full-time roles available in several Secondary Schools across Salford.
  • Day-to-day flexible work also available.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to cover a teacher’s absence.
  • Earn up to £350 per week, depending on your experience.
  • Facilitate learning across varying levels of ability within specific subjects.
  • Gain valuable experience towards teaching training applications.

Working as a Cover Supervisor in our client schools, your roles and responsibilities may include:

  • Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers.
  • Covering a range of classes in different subject areas with a range of pupils varying in ages (11-16) and ability
  • Assessing and evaluating pupils’ progress in the absence of the teacher and being able to report this back efficiently for their return.
  • Managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils.
  • Working alongside senior teachers to improve attainment across a range of abilities.

Our client schools are located in Salford with access from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Bury and central Manchester via the M602 and A580. For non-drivers, the schools can be accessed by a number of public transport links from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton and Bury.
