£66 - 77 per day
Permanent | Full Time
A position has become available at one of Teaching Personnel’s client schools for a full-time temporary Cover Supervisor at a school in South Manchester. The role will require being available Monday – Friday (8:30am – 3:00pm), lasting until the end of the school’s Spring term. Whilst the role is initially temporary, there is a possibility of it becoming permanent should the school still require somebody upon completion of the contract and should the fit between school and teacher be right.
The school is situated just south of the Manchester city centre and can be easily accessed via public transport (15-minute bus journey from town). Should you have access to a vehicle this would be an added bonus but by no means an essential requirement of the role. The role would involve providing general cover for a variety of lessons, the work would be provided, and the candidate would need to be able to confidently deliver it to a class. Candidates looking to gain valuable experience within a classroom setting before starting their teacher training would find this role very beneficial. Some requirements of the role are below:
The candidate should be able to promote high levels of engagement within students learning and will possess the ability to motive students to progress and achieve their academic goals. Somebody who is energetic as well as patient and understanding would find this role ideal. The school would appreciate it if the ideal candidate was able to throw themselves into the whole school life, which would mean attending sports days, fundraisers, helping out with extracurricular clubs and other school events. Depending on how much the candidate is able to help out outside of the classroom will determine the level of pay each day.
Should this role be right for you, please apply with your most recent and up to date CV as a file below or get in touch with the Teaching Personnel Manchester South Secondary branch should you have any questions.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
