You do not have to have experience in a school to work in a school! We all start somewhere and Teaching Personnel are on the hunt for passionate and enthusiastic individuals who are ready and dedicated to kickstart their career in teaching. Cover supervising is the best way to gain full classroom experience and develop the necessary skills to become a fully qualified teacher.

As a cover supervisor you will:

  • Deliver pre-set work left by the teacher across a range a subjects
  • Manage the classroom behaviour
  • Ensure learning is taking place in the absence of the teacher
  • Strictly follow the safeguarding and behaviour policy
  • Liase with other teachers in the department and school
  • Build and create positive relationships with pupils

To be suitable for this role you must have some prior experience working with young people and be willing to apply for a DBS on the update service if you do not have one already.
