Are you an experienced education professional ready to take the next step in your career?
Teaching Personnel is seeking a confident and capable SEN Cover Supervisor to join a specialist secondary provision in Oldham this September. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with established classroom experience who are looking to develop their leadership skills and take greater responsibility for learning and behaviour within a specialist educational setting.
We are looking for professionals who can confidently lead a classroom, build strong relationships with students, and maintain high standards of engagement and behaviour whilst supporting pupils with additional needs.
This specialist provision supports secondary-aged students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), ADHD and communication difficulties.
The school provides a structured and supportive environment where staff are empowered to make a genuine difference to student outcomes. Strong teamwork, high expectations and positive relationships are central to the school's ethos.
As a SEN Cover Supervisor, you will be entrusted with overseeing learning during teacher absence, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
This is not a support role. You will be expected to confidently manage classes, lead learning activities, maintain behaviour standards and adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of learners.
The role is particularly suited to individuals considering a future in teaching, pastoral leadership or wider educational management.
If you're an ambitious education professional with the confidence to lead learning, manage behaviour effectively and positively influence the outcomes of young people with additional needs, we would love to hear from you.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ's on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
