Exciting Opportunity: Behaviour Support Assistant

Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students who may be experiencing behavioural difficulties, helping them to overcome challenges, develop positive coping strategies, and succeed academically and socially. Your responsibilities will include:
Behaviour Management: Implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions to support students in managing their emotions, making positive choices, and engaging positively in the school environment.
Individual Support: Providing one-to-one support and guidance to students with behavioural challenges, building rapport and trust to help them address underlying issues and develop resilience and self-regulation skills.
Classroom Assistance: Collaborating with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, assisting in the implementation of behaviour plans, and providing support during lessons to ensure the engagement and participation of all students.
De-escalation: Using de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies to defuse challenging situations and prevent escalations, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.
Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies to share information, monitor progress, and develop targeted interventions and support plans for students with behavioural needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
